MX MECHANICS RECEIVED OVER 5,000 BALLOTS FOR ITS FREE DRAWS AT THE WALTON TRANSCAN
Walton, Ontario, August 16 – 20, 2006. What a week at the Transcan, wrapping up with the Pro Racing and a 5th place finish by Ryan Gauld in the MX2 East/West Shootout, making Ryan the top MX2 Yamaha rider in Canada. Our amateur race team also competed in multiple classes throughout the week in the Amateur National Championships racing in the 80cc, Supermini, Junior 125, Vet Jr., +40 and the Canada Cup IMX East West Shoot Out. MX Mechanics’ also ran a daily free draw from Wednesday to Saturday receiving over 5,000 entry ballots making this the largest draw ever for our team. The Transcan was a huge success this year with great weather and some of the best racing ever.
The Pro East West Shoot in the MX2 Class saw some fantastic racing and MX Mechanic’s Ryan Gauld had a great day with 5-7 finishes for 5th overall for the day. This finish combined with the MX2 results makes Ryan the top Yamaha MX2 rider in Canada. Ryan consistently produced great starts with 4-6th position after the first corner. The MX Mechanics – Machine Racing Yamaha 250F performed well against the factory bikes in this shootout and Ryan is pleased with his results at the Transcan and his overall for the year.
Our Amateur team rolled in to Walton on the Tuesday and was set to race in multiple classes. Ben Toye, Steven Azarkiewicz, Myles Bartholomew, David Toye and Gary Bartholomew along with our invitational riders Brett Lee and Chris Lee all raced throughout the week representing MX Mechanics in the following classes:
IMX East West Shoot Out – Youth Class
