MX Mechanics and Hindle Performance Exhaust report on the Final Round Seven of the Ontario Provincial Championships – Port Perry

Port Perry, Ontario, July 23, 2006.   What a weekend and what a track, this was the first time for the MX Mechanics team to race this wide open track and congratulations to the Port Perry crew and Barry Hetherington at the SJG Four Winds Motocross Park for some of the best racing action of the Series.  The track was hard packed with the crew tilling the dirt, watering and keeping things in premiere shape all day, all our racers loved this track – we will be back next year.

This weekend we announced two winners for the 50% off Hindle Performance Exhaust system, Jason Rauwerda of Rockwood and Tyler Koke of Newcastle congratulations to both winners.  With Hindle supporting Ryan Gauld’s MX Mechanics – Machine Racing Yamaha we saw that bike pulling down those straight aways with some of the fastest, wide open racing of the season.  Ryan and Piece Chamberlain put on quite a show for the fans this weekend and the crowd was going crazy cheering on our two local boys.  Ryan managed a 1-1 in the Plus 25 class, a 1-DNF in the 125 Pro Class and a 4-DNS in the 250 Pro Class after Ryan got hurt in Moto 2 of the 125 Pro Class.  We report that although his knee is sore, he will be racing Round 3 and 4 of the Eastern National MX2 Class.

“With Hindle Performance Exhaust on my MX Mechanics – Machine Racing Yamaha I can pull hard from any corner and continuously down those fast straight aways at Port Perry”. states Ryan Gauld, Team Manger and Pro Rider for MX Mechanics.  “Hindle is a local company and I will always support world class Canadian technology, especially when it gives me such an advantage on the track”.

The MX Mechanics race team didn’t fair too good this weekend with more injuries.  Ben Toye broke his hand in the 125 Junior Qualifier while in a qualifying position.  We will watch for his speedy recovery with our fingers crossed he will be OK to race the Transcan as Ben is a national contender for top 10 in the 80 and Supermini Class.  Myles Bartholomew got hurt in practice and was not on his game for the weekend, but went out there and gave it a go.  Dave Toye was the only uninjured rider for the team this weekend and rode the Vet Jr. class

This Port Perry round represented the final race  and the crowning of the provincial champions in all classes.  The MX Mechanics team is proud to report the following results:

Ryan Gauld:

First Overall +25

Third Overall 125 Pro

Third Overall 250 Pro

Ben Toye

Fourth Overall 80cc 12-16

Fifth Overall Supermini

Myles Bartholomew

Twelfth Overall 80 12-16

Fifteenth Overall Supermini

It was a great Provincial Series with lots of drama, racing excitement and now we all start preparing for the Amateur National Championship – Walton Transcan August 15 – 20, 2006.

The MX Mechanics team looks forward to seeing you all there and watch for the daily draws at the Transcan.
